The Five Points

2/28/23, 10:00 PM

Grace is God’s heart to do you good when you are most undeserving.

Do we really know how deeply undeserving we really are? Only God can reveal that to us. He does so through the Bible. Then the wonders of His grace blaze forth with unprecedented brilliance.

These Five Points are about how Christians are brought to life and how we are eternally preserved by God’s grace.

• It penetrates the deep past, when we were freely chosen.

• It penetrates the future, when we will be eternally secure and happy.

• It penetrates the mystery of Christ’s redemption, which purchased the gift of faith for all of God’s children.

• And it penetrates the human soul, illuminating the mysteries of the Spirit’s work as He breaks down all our resistance and makes us willing captives of King Jesus.

Piper believes that our experience of grace is enhanced by our appreciation of God’s gracious work. The author invites us to go on this journey together.

“Imagine sitting at the dinner table with Piper discussing the Five Points of Calvinism. There is so much to discover in this book. The simple exposition of these life-changing truths is presented with pastoral sensitivity, in the style of an intimate conversation. He does not intimidate you at all, but invites you to marvel at God’s miraculous grace. All that is missing is the meal.” TIM CHESTER Pastor of Grace Church, Boroughbridge, Yorkshire

“I know of no other concise book on this subject that so clearly leads us to the Scriptures and then so wonderfully lifts us up to see the glory of God. Many will be encouraged, and not a few will have their faith shaken to the core.” KEVIN DEYANG Senior Pastor, Christ Covenant Church, Matthews, North Carolina
